Most maces can be upgraded at the grindstones, which are usually located around blacksmiths. They are considered as not so common weapons, with long reach and great damage range. Maces are described as one-handed weapons with a long handle and heavy head, which can be sharp, spiked or blunt. They are the slowest of the one-handed weapons, but weapons that deals the most damage of all. Maces are a class of weapon found in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
